L&WV Railroad
The Laurel & Wyoming Valley railroad was constructed in 1900 as a passenger service trolley between Scranton and Wilkes Barre. This line utilized a third rail for power in most sections. The line was abandoned in 1958 and has recently seen a rebirth as the Electric City Trolley Museum and the restoring of freight service to the Minooka industrial park.
